Having two young cats nearly destroyed our new couch. We tried everything. The cats would squeeze around the scratching post we put by the corner just to scratch on the couch. So having these have saved our couch. They were easy to install, and rather un-intrusive. Definitely recommend.Easy to install, blends with couch and works as advertisedgood product！ worth to purchase！I'm so grateful we chose to purchase this when we did. Our couch was getting destroyed by our cats and this has been great to protect the fabric. It's super sturdy and has stood up to their scratching. My only critique would be that the velcro straps for the legs could be slightly longer to accommodate a larger range of couch sizes.It was shipped folded so it has permanent creases in it and the way it fits on my couch it looks a little loose, but it stands up to scratching and the gray matches the couch color perfectly. It does its job protecting that part of the couch and I'd buy another one but it doesn't look as nice on as it does in the stock photo. Do keep in mind it will only fit on the side indicated in the description. It is not interchangeable between the left and right sides. You have to buy separate ones if you want one on both sides of the couch.My cats didn’t take any time to get used to this protection cover. I think that they use it more than their cat tree scratching postThis took about 5 minutes to put on my couch on both sides. It doesn't lay completely flat at first, but we pushed some vintage suitcases on it for a few days and it has smoothed out. Both corners of our tweed-ish couch were scratched beyond fixing and we really didn't want to buy a replacement couch. These cover all of the damage and will let us put off that larger purchase for awhile! It doesn't match exactly, but it is truly very close. The cats don't seem that interested in scratching on it, but in case that ever changes I will update.I bought this to keep my roommates cat from ruining my couch. After some teaching he did learn to scratch the protector rather than the actual couch. It does not look great but does the job. The bottom straps sometimes have an issue with staying tight and together but it does not take away from the functionality of it. For me, it works just fine. It’s not perfect but it also is not expensive.With a herd of cats in the house (4) it's hard to keep track of them all and catch them in the act when they take a liking to a piece of furniture, carpet or in the case of one cat (looking at you Sheba) wall corners and baseboards.Having this protector in place adds a little peace of mind by removing one temptation from their scratchy reach.The protector was easy to position to cover the entire front edge of our sectional (simply move the top retaining strap forward or backward to adjust length). The velcro straps holding it in place at the bottom (under couch) and the one at the top were all simple to set up. My couch did not have a removable seat cushion but the flap can be discreetly folded into the crevice between cushion and arm rest while still retaining the protector in place.Bonus: the fabric used was almost identical to the one the couch has, and the light gray color is light enough to not overly offset the beige of the couch.The product is great. Just what I needed for my couch. I took away a star for the price. These should only cost about half of what they cost for what they are - this is insanely overpriced. It would be good if they also had some of the Velcro materiel on the back of the pad for anyone with a cloth couch. The adhesion could be better but is. It the worst. I would buy gain if the price was more appropriate for the product.You definitely need to make sure you read everything and look at the pictures of that type of couch, I got the right arm instead of ordering the left arm side of the couch. (I over looked the side in the print) You definitely need have a square couch (arm) just like in the picture they show, if you have a rounded edge or a a couch it fits different. You need to have couch legs that you can get legs velcro around it will NOT say in place. It is good quality. Does it work yes, my cat does not go to scratch that side of the couch but she just scratch the back of the couch instead. So I think they will always find somewhere scratch on you couch.While this did not prevent our cat from scratching uncovered areas of our recliner (we had to use plastic) she does actually enjoy scratching it and it does protect one side. My only complaint is that the part to secure the bottom ONLY works with chairs that have legs. So ours looks a bit silly as it's not anchored properly and hangs funny. They need a recliner-specific model.Works great! Our cat now scratches the Matt instead of the couch! Had to buy for each side though cause she initially just switched to the other side of the couch.
